Presente.org Applauds NY Times Editorial

Nov. 27, 2013

Following a New York Times editorial criticizing President Obama’s response to a heckler at a speech on immigration policy reform in San Francisco earlier this week, Arturo Carmona, Executive Director of Presente.org, the largest national Latino online advocacy organization in the country, made the following statement:

"We applaud the New York Times editorial board for its sharp criticism of the President’s failed immigration policies and recent dodge when confronted in San Francisco. As the editorial correctly points out, the President has the executive authority to improve protections for immigrants and stop the deportations. He should put that power to use to end the devastation now.”
