Tell CEO Doug McMillon: Stop poverty pay at Walmart!

Here's the message we sent to our members. After you've read it, please add your voice.

Walmart CEO Doug McMillon: No more poverty pay!

Tell him to pay workers at least $15/hr with consistent, full-time hours.

Dear Friend,

Following years of massive worker protests, strikes, and public shame, Walmart is really feeling the heat. Now’s our chance to make sure Walmart finally treats its workers, many of whom are Latinx, with the dignity they deserve.

Tell Walmart's CEO Doug McMillon: Pay workers $15 an hour with consistent, full-time hours.

For too long, Walmart has exploited its workers, while its billionaire owners push their extreme right-wing agenda and its current CEO makes $9,000 an hour.

Walmart’s stock plummeted almost 40% last year as the low-wages they pay millions of their workers finally started hurting their profits.1 In response, Walmart offered small concessions to their workers to try and turn things around.

But their small concessions weren’t enough.2 Walmart workers are still getting paid poverty wages, and they’re not being offered consistent, full-time hours. As Walmart worker Jaffet Alamilla says, “It’s still not enough to put food on the table for my family.”

That’s why Walmart workers from around the country are travelling to Bentonville tomorrow to deliver a message to Walmart’s CEO. Will you join with Jaffet and thousands of Presente members to help deliver that message?

Tell CEO McMillon: Pay workers $15 an hour with consistent, full-time hours.

Our country is at a crossroads. Although our economy has started to improve – mostly benefiting those on Wall Street – many of us are still left without jobs or scrambling to survive. Now’s our chance to help take our economy back, and we can start with Walmart.

Walmart has showed us they’ll respond to pressure. Now’s the time to turn it up to make sure Walmart finally treats workers like Jaffet with the dignity they deserve.

Tell Walmart: Pay workers $15 an hour with consistent, full-time hours.

Thank you for all you do and ¡adelante!
