How many more deportations?

Tell Congress To Act Now

Dear Friend,

You need to see this. As I write this email, immigrant number 1,593,471 is being deported. More people will be deported by the time you read this. At this rate, President Obama is going to deport more people in six years than if you add up every person in U.S. history who was deported before 1997.1

Go here to see a running count of how many people are being deported under President Obama.

President Obama just unveiled his immigration plan.2 A group of U.S. Senators unveiled their plan earlier, this week.3 Missing in all of this discussion was the cost of inaction up to this point, and what the cost of inaction moving forward will be. We need to remind President Obama and Congress what happens every minute they waste without fixing our broken immigration system:

Go here to see Presente.org's "deportation clock." Sign up and share it to show people what's at stake.

We know these people aren't just numbers. The next person being deported this very minute could be a student who knows only this country as his or her home, or it could be a father doing everything he can to provide for his family. Show President Obama and Congress that the people being deported every minute aren't just numbers, they're people you care about.

Sign here to show the "deportation clock" to President Obama and Congress, and share it with friends so everyone knows what's at stake

We need to inject the human cost of this broken immigration system into this debate. Please sign and share Presente.org's "deportation clock" now.

Thanks and ¡adelante!
