#DefendDACA

Here's the message we sent to our members. After you've read it, please add your voice.

Dear Friend,

President Trump plans to end DACA as early as Tuesday.1

That means that hundreds of thousands of dreamers protected under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program — our children, our brothers and sisters, our friends and neighbors — face widespread and brutal deportation because of the White Supremacist-in-Chief. However, momentum is building, which means that we still have time to put a stop to the President’s racist plan.

Tell members of Congress and state Attorneys General to support and defend the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program.

Thanks to the courageous and powerful organizing of our friends at United We Dream, DACAmented people across the country, and their allies, in the past week alone we’ve seen support for Trump’s racist plan deteriorate.2

Corporate CEOs, members of Congress, and national and state leaders across all political parties have responded to the demands of the people and pledged to support DACA.3 If we keep up the pressure, the only support Trump will have will be from the likes of former Ku Klux Klan leader David Duke and other white nationalists.4

Take action: You can help build the momentum needed to protect our people from deportation.

Throughout history, people of conscience like you have stepped up and taken courageous action on behalf of those facing oppression, who are in need of intervention and relief.

The consequences of deportation would be disastrous for DACAmented people and their families, which is why Presente.org members, who fought to win DACA protections under President Obama, must continue to assert their right to stay.5

Let’s do this!
