Rep. John Conyers began the hearings by saying,"I hope no one uses the term 'illegal immigrants' here today... The people in this country are not illegal. They are out of status."
It takes real courage to stay focused on justice for the 11 million undocumented people living in fear in our nation today. Rep. Conyers needs support from us to help him stay on track and to boost his efforts. Let's tell him that by speaking to our immigrant community's humanity—Rep. Conyers speaks for us!
